Brussels

The Mayhem Continues. Well I made it out of the Airport alive (they woke me up at f***ing 5am.... if you can call what I was doing 'sleeping'). I took a bus and tube to the Waterloo train station to get on the Eurostar to Paris, but guess what... it was booked up... shit. But, I made the best of it. Since I had to miss Stonehenge, I got the Eurostar to Brussels... Brussels. It's a dump here.... really. There are a few sights to see, but the city looks like it belongs in Eastern Europe. Regardless I went and found a store called Neuhaus, which is supposed to have really good chocolate.... Ladies, you would have an orgasm from this chocolate.. I swear. It's that good. Being that there's nothing else to really do there, I headed back to the train station and found a sketchy open grocery market (check out the pics). Once back at the station.... the train to Paris was booked again... grrrr. They got me on a train to the De Galle Airport, though.... I still had to wait like three hours for it. Moral of the story... don't go to Brussels. Onward to Paris...

Well, So brussels looks as Eastern Europe city to you.. But how long did you stay? Did you see the "grande Place"? Or did you go to tha street where the Royal Palace is?
I know parts of brussels aren't all that great but there are other parts of Belgium worth seeing: Brugge, a little town where the entire center dates from the 17 tth century, and is perfectly conserved. Also the sacred heart church has the only michelangelo statue Outside Italy!!!!!
Or Gent a lovely town also known as the three tower city because of the three cathedral which are in line if you stand on the
"st-Michiels" bridge ( near the Koornmarkt).
Or did you see Antwerp, a lovely harbour city, the home town of a few reknown flemish painters, such as Pieter Paul Rubens, Van Eyck etc...
Or did you go to the south of Belgium, did your education tell
you that Belgium is the place in Europe where most wars have been fought? for this reason it has a great number of castles and fortified constructions...
Sorry to sound a bit paternising, but you touched a weak spot ther , i was born in Belgium, i studied in Brussels, and i've shown my country to variuos foereigners and the saw it differently.
Maybe you should go back some day but do some thourough research before writing what you wrote...
